Privacy policy

MITSUBISHI MATERIALS TRADING CORPORATION ("the Company"), recognizing the importance of personal information, will take the following measures to protect personal information that the Company handles.

  1. 1The Company observes applicable laws and regulations that pertain to personal information. The Company has established internal rules for the management of personal information, and will continually require its employees (including executives, full-time employees, contract employees, temporary workers, and part-time employees) and others to know, practice, maintain, and improve upon the internal rules.
  2. 2When the Company collects, obtains, or acquires personal information, the Company will make public, or individually inform each person concerned, its purposes of the use of such information. The Company will collect, obtain, or acquire personal information to the extent necessary for the said purposes.
  3. 3 The Company will appoint a manager in charge of information management in each section that handles personal information. The Company will keep personal information accurate and up to date, and will take appropriate measures to prevent improper access to as well as the loss, destruction, improper alteration and leakage of personal information.
  4. 4The Company will use personal information under proper management procedures for only the purposes made public or informed at the time of collection or acquisition. Furthermore, the Company will not disclose or offer personal information of any person to a third party without his or her approval, except for the following cases:
    1. 1when the person has given his or her express consent;
    2. 2when the Company outsources to a third party a part of its operations that handles personal information in order for the Company to execute those operations;
    3. 3when the Company presents necessary information to financial institutions for payment procedures of fees, etc.; and
    4. 4when there are special circumstances specified by applicable laws.
  5. 5 In the case where the Company shares personal information with a third party, or in the case where the Company entrusts personal information to a third party in order to outsource a part of its operations, the Company will inspect the third party prior to signing the necessary contracts, and take other necessary measures required by applicable laws and regulations.
  6. 6The Company recognizes that each person has the right to disclose, amend, suspend, and delete his or her own personal information, and will promptly respond to such requests regarding the said rights, unless special circumstances specified by applicable laws and regulations apply.
  7. 7The Company will keep personal information entrusted from other entities under strict control, and will use such entrusted personal information only for the purposes stipulated in the contracts with such entities.

Purpose of use of personal data

  1. 1A customer’s personal data may be used by each line of business of the Company specified below to send and provide the products and services; provide relevant after-sales service; provide information and documents on a product, service or event (including the sending of a catalogue, direct mail or similar); send pamphlets, catalogues, direct mail, samples and other materials about enterprises or organizations that the Company deems appropriate; request the user fill out questionnaires about the improvement of a product or a service; hold a lottery for a campaign; send gifts to lottery winners; conduct activities relating to invoices; and process statistics. Where a department of the Company notifies or discloses specific data to a customer while limiting its usage, the purpose of use of the data will be followed. A telephone conversation between the Company and a customer may be recorded for the purpose of confirming an order or inquiry and qualitatively improving our handling of phone calls.
    The Company's lines of business
    Sale, purchase, export and import of non-ferrous metals, metal workpieces, processed precious metals, electronic materials, construction materials, chemical products, industrial chemicals, general materials and other products; construction; sale of high-pressure gas; disposal, collection and hauling of industrial waste; non-life insurance agent; insurance agent in compliance with the Act on Securing Compensation for Automobile Accidents; and life insurance solicitation
  2. 2Job applicant's personal data is used to provide information about recruitment, judge the applicant, communicate interview schedules and notify the applicant of job offers.
  3. 3The personal data of employees and their family members are used to handle recruitment, transfer, promotion, attendance management, wage payment, performance appraisal, social insurance procedures, welfare, job training, resignation and any other activities necessary for proper employment management. 

Requests and inquiries regarding personal data

Requests for the disclosure, correction (addition or deletion) or suspension of use (erasure) of your personal data or for the prohibition of the provision of this data to a third party should be directed to the department of the Company that received the personal information or any of the following points of contact that is appropriate.
