FSW, known as Friction Stir Welding, was developed as an alternative joining method to fusion welding.

MITSUBISHI MATERIALS TRADING, in collaboration with Tri Engineering Co., Ltd., has developed an air-through holder essential for Friction Stir Welding. Our sales engineering team independently developed the indexable probe. To further improve the performance of this probe, we have entered an advisory contract on joining technology with Solid Phase Inc., a venture company originating from Osaka University.
